Well,
As you all know, respect for the Elites are falling, and it's as if the word 'Elite Anti-scammer From TTG' Doesn't mean anything anymore,
So what is actually ruining the elites?
-Too many Elites?
-Too many scammers in the organisation?
-Too much rivalry causing us to divide?
-People are getting Elite rank too easy, just cause they know some people?
-ARE THE ELITES NOT EXCLUSIVE ENOUGH ANYMORE? Answer = No They Are NOT, For ALL Of The Above Reasons
So let us stand today, united brothers sharing our thoughts
/tongue.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />
So lets share our thoughts, on what we can do to improve the Elite Anti-Scammers, And in two weeks we can have a poll, or a gathering to approve the ideas,
My idea is : Lets reduce the amount of elite polls to 1 a month, also, when a member is ready to be moved up to elite, three or more elites must approve him for a poll to go ahead, 1 elite per month - wether they loose, or win the poll, But what do i mean by 'three elites pick out a member'
Well, when a member commands a certain amount of respect and trust on TTG, one elite will talk to another, and another to find out what they think and wether or not a poll should go ahead, if the loose the poll, that is that elite poll, for that month used up, so we should choose and recommend elites carefully, ALSO, IF A MEMBER ASKS YOU TO RECOMEND HIM FOR ELITE, HE SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN A POLL, When a member is ready, like i said, Three elites will pick him,
That is what i think should be done,
if you aggree make a post saying this, if u have an objection, or a diffrent idea, please post it up,
The simple fact is lads, we need to make our pact more exclusive, therefor upping the chance of being declined, and lower the chance of getting accepted,
Ryan.

I guess i agree.... Here is my opinion of my it is falling apart. First of all i think it is because a lot of the old super elites have quit. Not scammed but just upped and walked away. It took me forever to become elite but i didn't mind. Actually i think it was only 6 months so if you have been here 6 months it aint really that bad. On June 1, i would have been here a year so i think that i was relatively new when i became an elite. I am pretty sure it was my mms that gave the chance of being elite.

Back in Jan 06, MM's didn't really matter, i almost got into the elites with 5 transactions lol...
-
i say limit of ONE POLL total per month, and to win you need to have more than 7 yes and less than 4 no votes
if elites are inactive for 3 months they lose position, then after a month of returning they have a poll placed automatically
one chance at elite per every two months, so like you cant keep get poll after poll, giving no one else a chance
3 reccomendations

^ What he said exept the 7 yes and 4 no's.

I'm part of another super elite club thing. The way we do it, is someone nominates someone, there's a poll posted and everyone has a discussion. Now, I think the important difference we have, is once a decision is made, one way or the other, the entire thread is deleted. So, if one of your friends is nominated and you don't think he's ready, you don't have to post saying "yeah definitely, he's super cool" just cause you know if he gets in, he'll see everything you posted. Plus it makes it kinda awkward if they do get in, get to see the thread about them, and there's posts saying why they shouldn't get in.
Oh, and we also have a minimum number of people that have to actually vote. I dunno what that number is, you'd have to base it on how many people you have to vote. That also helps with people who just aren't sure and don't feel like voting.
Just some ideas.
-
i like the minimum vote thing, like give the poll a week, if not enough votes by then, then poll is left open for another week untill finally it is resolved
-
i have changed to a poll (sorry about how crowded it is but ur only alowd 3 q's)

Well my take on things is this:
-Old elites should never be kicked out, ever... I disagree with that so much it is incredible. Sure they should get an IP check, but kicked out, no... Once you are in you're in for good,
-the three recommendation thing is redundant because people wouldn't have voted yes if they didn't recommend them in some way themselves, if they can get two recommendations, they can definitely get three...
-I think maybe needing at least a certain amount of yes votes required would be fine, but no votes would only have to be less than the yes votes, no "you can't get 4 people voting no" kind of crap...
-The only thing I truly thought was a good idea was the one elite a month idea, counting if the person loses his poll.
Remember we want to keep the elites exclusive... not impossible...
Also, I consider TTG an example other blackmarkets as the home of the elites, and regardless of what you may think, TTG has the most exclusive program set up. Why doesn't it seem like it at times? because the forum has more than 30,000 members. We are picking one or two people a month out of 30.000, wheras other forums are picking one or two out of 200 members.
-
yeah i agree i dont think they should ever get kicked out
-
I have to agree with Allanon and Pureblood. If youve worked for Elite then by not being active you dont lose the work youve already done. I know Jose has said this before about mods, something along the lines of "Moderators will never be de-modded, they might come back and I dont pay them to moderate the forum, theyre doing me the favour".
-
yeah jose did say something like that before
-
I think we do need to make it more exclusive, elite should brand respect, and some members feel as if people are cheating there way into elite cause they know people, and steve 1 elite per month was my idea
/tongue.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />, it's one of the few things i would change about us,
Also not just one elite per month, one POLL per month which will make our job harder because we will ALL need to discuss it first to make sure we pick out the right individual.
