Title: A Safer Way To Trading Mils?
Post by: Yded on May 13, 2007, 01:54:31 AM
Oh yea, not to break any rules, Buying 1 mil, 1 cent, mail order.
I do not know if this idea has already been proposed, so please do not flame.

With the new updates by Jagex, many more accounts have (or will be) banned from the processes of buying/selling mils, account sharing, and... basically almost everything we do here at the Runescape section of TTG. For the safety concerns of ourselves and to protect ourselves from scammers, we have taken many steps, such as using middle mans. And to protect ourselves from Jagex, some of us have gone to make new account, done item transfers, and more. But Jagex has caught onto many of these steps, through their own ways, such as spies, and idea I only became familliar with only after I gained personal experience. The idea of a spy did not strike me as possible, but logically, they were most likely here, just as scammers were. But in order to help many other people, I must take this risk and spread my idea.

Have you ever felt that Jagex was onto you so you got paranoid? Or have you made multiple accounts to stray away from being caught? Have YOU been caught? I myself was recently caught by Jagex staff while selling an account. They banned ALL accounts that even seemed to be involved, which included my lvl 95, 89, and my personal favorite, 67, which had killer stats. I had spent my time and effort to these accounts, but now are all gone. (The rest of my accounts will soon be up for sale, most likely cash, runescape gp, etc.) But after this bans, I found that the person who got all my accounts banned was a spy. This just made me downright mad. So, to make up for it, I tried to think up of a BETTER way to sell/buy mils, buy accounts etc. DUEL ARENA. The main way Jagex tracks down people is through empty trades. So why not "stake" the money against the MM, and turn auto retaliate off? Then when the trade is done, the MM "stakes" the recipient of the money, and the MM turns of auto retaliate off? As you most be thinking, "This is for members only!" Yes, I know that. But since (most likely) Jagex will not check stakes, the MM would be free to use his main or member account.
For a very large trade, (20m+) the buyer or seller (or both) could provide the membership for the MM. This would most likely be for a lvl 3 account, or any account the MM wishes.

Note that this technique is NOT a replacement for the current MM'ing process. This is just an idea.
(btw, I myself am not a spy)

Please comment, but not flame,
yded
(P.S. If a mod wishes to move this, they may, but most people are in this forum, where people would actually read it)

not everyone is a member and like 99.9% of MM accounts are not members

yes i know, to both of you.
i already know its not in right forum, and i know that many mm's are not members. but im just saying for the trusted mm's who DO have member accounts. for the ones that don't they can just stick with the normal process.

I myself haven't had a problem with spies or any bans, but this does seem like it would work. Staking the money would be very difficult to detect, and might be the safest way to mm.

i woul;d definetly stake the money but theres a chance the person might turn on you....

thats why an MM could check if you won/lost the duel. and you would stake against the MM, not the other person.

How i usualy give money to mm's

have lvl 3's go out to wild run into each other, mm kills me and takes cash and then the seller kills mm for the cash when payment is needed.

how most my trades for over 5mill are done

wdude very good idea, but i think my idea removes the risk of pjer's? even if they are lvl 3? a mage could possibly hit 2, 2, 2, before ur mm hits or could kill you before you can run out or notice or lag.
still very good idea.

ty for the compliment creamsoda.

Yea im not a fan of the wildy idea. Other people can attack you and then ur down a lot of money the duel arena is a lot safer.

Pretty good idea. By the way does jagex track your ip so you cant have a newly created lvl 3 trading your main (10 mil for nothing) without getting banned?

It's a good idea, even though i don't trade GP or accounts... It's safer, you will have a less chance of getting caught in the duel arena /tongue.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' />
