Title: Problem With video card...
Post by: RepossessedTechnology on May 20, 2007, 02:43:28 PM
Ok this is a wierd problem, you will also find my post in the Alt-OS section. Ok, I have a Radeon X1300 Pro video card. Before I install the driver, moving objects cause a wierd wave to go across the screen. It's kind of hard to describe. Say I scroll on a page, wave-kind effects go across my screen, same when I drag windows or make anything move. To Fix it in windows, I just install the correct driver and Catalyst control center, which fixes it. But here is my question: anyone know how to fix this in linux? I've tried downloading the driver many times, but that will never work. Only one distro I have tried so far does not have the wierd wave.

PLZ help, THX Alot

I have the same graphics card. I dont use Linux tho. Ive seen somethin similar to that problem without the driver on my moniter as well. Usually with Linux, if you cant get a driver youre screwed. Sorry man.

Although, are you sure there isnt a driver specifically for Linux? Maybe youre downloading the wrong driver?

Idk. Hope this helps a bit.
