Title: Slow Network
Post by: nev25 on June 09, 2007, 11:30:54 AM
I have a problem that I cannot figure out
I have 2 PCs networked though a Router (DLink DI524)
I also have an ADSL Modem (DLink DSL302G) connected to the Router
The problem is when one PC is doing anything on the INTERNET (Downloading-On line Games etc) The other PC cannot do anything on the net (Cannot find pages, Runs real Slow etc)
Can anyone offer a solution
I have been told it could have something to do with IP addressing But I'm not sure.

Ok i aint an expert but if you are downloading a game you are probably downloading at your max speed.
What speed of DSL do you have?
If you are downloading games on one computer that will make the internet slow on the other. All the router does it give both computers internet access. Like when i am downloading at my max speed. Pages load really slow. The only way to fix it is to get faster internet. I hope this answers your question.
