Title: Sold my account for $150...but got chargebacked
Post by: bloodvenom on June 23, 2007, 10:35:49 AM
Right I sold my account on an auction site for $150, I did the deal with a nice kid tottally seemed honest, and I am usualy a good judge of charachter. Here is where this deal becomes interesting...

Within 3 hours of giving him all my details I recieve a chargeback (how cliche) right I was a little bit scared that he may have [censored]ed my accoutn and stole my 5mil gp that I had. But, When i succesfully managed to acquire the account. I logged on to see that I am wearing full dragon, which seriously almost gave me a heart attack. At that time I gotten my hopes up that maybe I will come out better in this deal. So I go to check my bank...surprise surprise I have the wrong pin number as he has changed it.

As you can see my account now has the following extra item just wearng it...drag chain....drag legs...and drag shield. you can also see the chargebacks in my paypal thingy. The top one is for my runescape account...the second one is for my wow account...ya rotten luck all round but thankfully wow can rollback your accoutn and give oyu everything when your hacked.

right, everything seems right?....WRONG the person used a credit card to make me members...that means he has a piece of information I do not possess. And if how usefull my SMS number is...I think a CREDIT CARD agreement will allow him to hack me back at will...what should I do?

Furthermore, during the trade the person mentioned he is using his dads details without his permission...but he says he has never been caught and done it lots of times...So I am worried was it him who chargebacked or his dad.

I have pins over 6 used pins....and every password ever used...ya i write this [censored] on paper...I ma just scared that maybe i am rushing with this and maybe the kid is innocent and it was his dad which chargebacked...then maybe i should return the items yes/no?

Case solved...paypal is doing doing an inquiry on every single empty trade they can get there hands on....both me and the buyer were honest and truthful....so I have given him back the account with the full drag...

So you gave the account back and the chargeback was filled against you... So, that means you lost 150 bucks?

nope, it seems that now paypal will randomly do an inquiry into any trades which state the buyer is paying for other services or goods...our trade looks suspicious so paypal checked it...buyer confirmed it was legit...i confirmed it was legit...buyer got the accoun back with all the item he placed on it and i got $150 oh and since the trade is confirmed its impossible for the buyer to do a chargeback.
