I bought a Hewlett Packard PC that came loaded with Windows 98se.
I also bought Windows XP pro UPGRADE and when I try to install it, I get the following message: \"setup cannot upgrade your current installation to Windows XP. Your copy of Windows XP does not support upgrading from an evaluation copy of Windows\". Why does the UPGRADE think that the version on my HP is an evaluation copy? Is there a way around this issue.
Any ideas or help will be very much appreciated.

Either a. it is a eval copy...ask from whoever you bought it...if it\'s a store ask if it\'s OEM or what not
b. the copy you got was installed by someone who did use a evaluational copy or key.
