Title: Windows XP Sp3?

I heard that it was coming out BEFORE vista. Then microsoft delayed it to the later half of 2007, then they delayed it to 2008. Any thoughts on sp3? I probably wont be affected...I'll have upgraded to windows vista by then but if not im looking forward to sp3...they promised to change IE 7, windows media player, and windows live messenger. They also are changing the log on features.

lol i have vista but it kinda suks lol but besides that i have no idea what sp3 is.... (is that bad?)

I'm sure it will be a lot like SP2

I don't have Vista yet, but I will by the time SP3 comes out
But I'll still have 2 or 3 other machines with XP on it

im thinking about partitioning my drive to run windows xp and vista....only because alot of my programs and external drives arent compatible /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

Microsoft has even put off updating vista SP1 until 2008. It looks kinda bad for the windows world right now. Lots of businesses are stuck with vista versions that have tons of bugs and problems.

sp2 has enough problems anyway. they need to work on better patches etc before making another one.

may i know if Sp2 is required to update to sp3?
im on xp sp1 and i was thinking of directly updating to sp3

you SHOULD get sp2 and then get sp3

there shouldn't be, but to be safe you should talk with a microsoft operator or google the topic. the computer i bought came with sp2 so i wouldnt know

Clashing/not compatible is what I think happened to mine.. I tried to go from SP1-SP2 on an older computer and it completely died on me.. Blue Screen of Death /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />.. Stupid microsoft "required" updates.

ahhh vista is fillled with bugs.. annoys me everyday.. sp3 sounds like the real deal
