Selling:
- Have the person PM me you from there THETECHGUIDE username.
- Take screenshots of the MSN Convo & RS Convo EVERYTIME -- TEXT DOCUMENTS ARE WORTHLESS - REGARDLESS IF YOU'RE SCAMMED OR NOT!!!
- Most importantly, to avoid being paid with a stolen paypal, have the person who owns the email send you an email from their paypal email (this is a must)
- Only sell 3mill (maximum) to first time customers - Never sell over 3mill, next time, if 1st trade is sucessful, they can get more!
MY UNIQUE SAFE-WAY FOR PAYPAL'ing: When selling mills, require the person have a note in the notes section when sending money. This note says they are satisfied, and got their product. (Of course, for less-known members, you may have a hard time using this, cause you're less-trusted but MM's should have the authority to have you include such a note pre-sale)
BUYING:
- When buying, follow some of the same steps, such as identifying the person on THETECHGUIDE (have them PM you)
- Take screenshots, regardless of the outcome.
- Buy from a trusted user, even if it cost more. Would you rather have 2mills @ $20 from a trusted user, or 2 mills @ $15 from an untrusted user. Chances are, the low prices are there to lure you in and scam.
Accounts:
There is no guaranteed full proof way avoiding getting scammend while buying an account but these suggestions will help you not to.
- Buy without recovs
- Have a respectable/experensed mm check if the account is ok.
- If the price is to low your likly to get scammed
- Try to buy from someone you trust
Pin trading:
-It is very import to used a trusted mm when doing a pin trade
-Some mm require to go on your account to active them only allow an offical mm to do this
-Most pin sellers sell regually try to use the same seller where available
-Never do half and half
All trading:
-Take plenty of screenshots
-Ask for a confimation pin
-Try to use offical or trusted mm
-If its to good to be true it probally is

Bloodogre made this thread back when he wasn't mod. And Allanon was in the progress of moving so he was never on and that is why we needed a scammer list. Now it is obsolete.

also, although their ARE mods that can suspend someone forever...they are FAR (I stress this word) from active...
most of the time you (and only you) will suspend someone if I ask...MOST of the time...but Aragost flat out refuses...and Allanon always says wait for later...
