Title: PC RUNNING SSSLLOOOOW!!

My laptop is running horrendously slow.
Even in Windows Explorer, when just clicking on a folder or even the 'START' menu, it takes about 30 seconds to respond.
As for the Internet and Applications such as Photoshop, well, you can imagine the frustration...!

Can anyone help?

There was recently a couple of malware thingys detected on the computer which AVG detected and quarantined, however, the were unhealable and therefore I deleted them from quarantine.

Try to back up everything and reformat the HDD that should take care of it if nothing else.
