Title: WIN98SE System Memory problems

I have just ordered 512mb ddr 2100 mem, I have an existing 512mb ddr2100 module installed. When I start my computer the systems recgonizes the mem and boots well until the WIN98SE startup screen, after a few seconds it freezes.

The intresting thing is that I can boot up and run windows in safe mode and it recognizes the memory. I install the modules seperately and they both work fine.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? Is it the CAS Latency at worst one may be 2 and the other 2.5 ?

have you tried re-installing windows since changing your setup?
