Title: xb0x 360 or ps3???
Post by: ~Spoof~ on December 26, 2007, 01:06:55 AM: so i was wondering wether to buy a ps3 or xbox 360? so i walked to the shop down to the mall
and asked the sales person... he didnt help much so ive turned to ttg ..... if you know ny faults or have nething good to say about any one of em consoles feel free, no spam plz... cheerz

Post by: Joshyboy on December 26, 2007, 03:00:43 AM: Don't be to concerned about my vote. I voted ps3 because I'm going to get a PS3 I'm never going to stop supporting Sony. I may buy a 360 but I will never miss out on a Sony Console.

If you like those crappy, mature-rated, shooter games where you spend the entire game with guns shooting aliens or possibly other humans, then get an xbox. If you like childish, lesser graphics, with limited gameplay then get a Wii. If you like games that pull from both mature and childish games and create teen games with great storylines, then get a PS3.

Honestly, the only reason the Wii has outsold the other 2 is because of price. The PS3 is literally double the price. Plus, the new controls draw people in. People say "Wow, thats cool. Mommy, I want one of those". Then the mom sees the price tag compared to the other consoles and picks it up right there on the spot. It doesn't mean it is better, it means they have a better marketing strategy.

If you have to worry about price, then get whatever you can afford. They are games after all, you will have fun no matter what console you buy. But in my personal opinion, PS3 > 360 > Wii.

1) I like the games (i.e. Ninja Gaiden 2, Forza 2, PGR series) more than the PS3 games (Gran Turismo)
2) I see the Wii as a toy that has a gimmick. Stayed at a cousin's house for a week and di nothing but play the Wii and those sports games and the new Mario game.... well, long story short, I got sick of it.
3) I'm a pretty big guy (6' 3", 200lbs) with massive hands so the PS3 controllers feel too small in my hands. The 360 controllers feels more....natural.
4) The racing wheel for the 360 (made by M$) is bloody amazing, especially with the paddle shifters. I love the Ferrari F430 (in real life) and the paddle shifters are just perfect.

Now you can argue the reverse:
1) The PS3 just looks sexy compared to the pro 360 or even the elite.
2) You can put linux on the PS3.
3) You can Fold@home on the PS3.
4) PS3 has Final Fantasy (amazing series if I do say so myself).
5) The 360 is plagued with the RRoD problem (apparently it's at a 16% failure rate, compared to the 3-4% for the PS3, lemme try and find a link for that...)
6) PS3 is quiet compared to the 360 (appropriate analogy: a bunny vs a 747)

Post by: GOD OF WAR on April 28, 2008, 04:42:22 PM: well if you enjoy playing online and can afford Xbox live or if you just wanna play splitscreen multiplayer then i would get the 360. but if you are more into single player games and watching movies in blu-ray then the ps3 is the way to go.

Post by: Takashi62 on April 28, 2008, 07:11:02 PM: 360 all the way. Btter games I would say. Halo 3! The Orange Box looks better on 360. Guitar hero 2. It can't play blu-ray but is a VERY good game system. Most people you will ask will say either X360 or Wii.

With 360 you can download games, mod it, and play with others on lan. ps3 really has lots of games.. but they cost too much and their online games arn't that great..
