Title: New Laptop Whats the best protection

It comes with a month trial of norton but I dont even want to install that. What would the essentials to protect my laptop.

I've heard good things about Kaspersky and NOD32, but I personally like SpySweeper w/ antivirus.

It really depends on if your looking for Free software, or if your willing to pay for it
and also what Operating system your laptop came with

Zack the Man gave you names to 2 of the better AV protection
Nod32 or Kaspersky's>>I've never used Spysweeper AV
If you want free, I have links in the pinned topic at the top of the forum
ONLY use one AV on your computer

As far as Spyware protections, Windows Defender should be installed with Vista if that's what your using
I wouldn't use more than one Active realtime spyware protections also
