Title: Obvious solution to trading gold
Post by: colletto on December 30, 2007, 09:59:05 AM
Well after some simple thinking i thought why cant players commit suicide.. by doing this everything they drop can be picked up by another person ( middle man or other trader).

Its risky, but the ONLY way atm.

Happy New Year.

(hoping for some of your collective ideas to improve mine)

When you die, you get a gravestone. If you go back to the gravestone then you can get your items back. If you don't go back, or take too long going back, the items disappear.

Yea, theres no way to trade after update.

But, its not gonna work sence the G.E states all the prices and like everything, prices change and jagex are to lazy + fat + to busy drinking tea to update EVERYTHING once the prices changes so i guess you will have to pay w/e ge says..and like GE says yew longs are 700 ea..when you can goto w132 + buy for 580. It's gonna suck really bad TBH.

Jagex has now killed -

Staking-
Pking-
Trading-
Merch-
Fun-
Runescape-

OH and whats up with the new skill Summoning? HOW GAY IS THAT FFS THEY SHOULD JUST MAKE FUDGEPACKING SKILL.

Jagex did a series of extremely bad updates:

1) They made the max amount you can stake every 15 minutes 3k. So basically there is no point... The max you can get is 12k an hour. ( No staking / stake trading)
2) They got rid of dropping items. You can still drop it, but only you can see it and no one else can get it. (No drop-trading)
3) They got rid of losing your items when you die. You get a gravestone where you die and you have to walk back to it to get your items. If you don't, they disapear. (No PKing / death trading)
4) They added the grand exchange, which set jagex-controlled prices on all items. People can't sell / buy for what they want, only within the very small price limitations that Jagex has set. (No merchanting)
5) They did a small update to the party house place in seers so that you cant use that for trading (basically no point of that place either now).
6) Finally, the worst update of all, they changed the maximum amount you can TRADE to 3k. So trading is pretty much pointless.

Basically, in order to kill Real World Trading, they killed the game itself.

ok well new idea.

maybe going to bounty in a low pop world... and use combat items as the new currency. it can be done, but its quite awkward. For example, risk of other people picking up the drop and level difference.

Jagex just dont realise that with basically ALL online rpg's, fps's etc
Theres always going to be hacks or macros and theres always going to be real world trading its what happens they need to realise that.

Ok, this is what some body told me earlier today which i think it is VERY VERY risky so im not gonna try it, she said

If you go to a low populated world and go to the party room and put some stuff in the chest and do the ballon drop, that works.

She said that if you put in under 50k of stuff, then the NPC's wont say that there is a party going on.

So i guess that this could possibly increase the limit of trading gold and things with out having to wait 15 mins, but it is very risky..why?

1. You have to keep it under 50k, go over and everyone will know your dropping stuff

2. There are a LOT of balloons to pop, and if some one comes in then you could be screwed

3. Its gonna be hard to find a world with not to many people in the party room.

Thats what i think about it anyways.

another idea... on the RISK SCALE about 4/10 ( the party balloon idea would be 9/10)

requirements:

buyer must have GP. ( not alot)

------------------

anyway, the idea is that the seller and buyer both go to a isolated general store. Then the seller sells for example, a whip to the general shop. the seller buys it for a discounted price.

Now, im sure there is an item out there which would be better to sell via general..

discuss.
