Title: replace vista....

I want to uninstall vista and install xp pro.  Is there a way to do this?  Thanks.

Do you have a full install CD for XP?

If it's a newer computer, may be hard to track down XP drivers
What is Exact make/model of your computer

it's a toshiba laptop Satellite A205.

I've done it, you just put your XP Pro disc in restart the computer say you want to boot from disc and follow the instructions to format the hard-drive and install XP. You may need to download some drivers for the graphics and sound card, amongst others, but that shouldn't take too long
