Ok guys hopefully someone can help me with this. My new laptop found my network and others connected to it but, it had limited connectivity so I couldn't get on the internet. Someone told me that there was a problem with the winsock. So they had me type "netsh reset winsock catalog" now I cannot see any of the wireless networks anywhere and I cannot get back on my network. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this problem. I was online with D-link for 3 hrs and 4 techs trying to fix it and no one could help. Anyone have a fix for this

"netsh reset winsock catalog" is good if you want to reset to default, but not if you have legit entries that use it
Can you do a System Restore point to before the trouble?
Is it possible to post a hijackthis log
Download Hijackthis Installer from HERE (http://\"http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/HJTInstall.exe\")
For an alternate download location, you can try HERE (http://\"http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/HijackThis/1071179190/1\")
SAVE it to your desktop
Double click on HJTInstall.exe to run it
Choose Install
Hijackthis v2.0.2 will open
Under Main Menu, Select
Do a system scan and save a Log file
A log will open in Notepad
Copy and Paste the Whole log back here to the forum
You can tranfer the log and program with a thumbdrive or similiar from one computer to the other
while your tranferring logs
Can you also
supply an uninstall list from Hijackthis
Open Hijackthis>>Open MISC TOOLS SECTION>>Open UNINSTALL MANAGER
Click the SAVE LIST... button
Save the list to your desktop then copy>>Paste back here the Whole contents
I'm not pointing to nothing malicious, but it gives me a more info about your computer
NOTE: If you can't supply the above logs
At minimal, you must supply
Exact Laptop make/model
Operating system
Model of Dlink wireless station
