Post by: FIxeL on January 05, 2008, 02:33:39 PM
Hello questolo,
I have a big problem, it started to freeze, heres wat happend: i was waching TV ( WinFast ) and it suddenly freezed, i restarted it, but after i restarted it freezed after 1 min., i tryed restarted again, it freezes in less the 1 min ( after the PC boots ). I tryed to go to safe mode but it freezed there also in 1 min. Then i decided to just rewrite the windows to have less trouble, but it got a lot of files in c:/ disk and i want to write them to harddisk d:/ ( splited hard disk got 2 drivers ) , so i tryed using the WinXp live cd , but during the load of the windows via the live cd it freezed. So i dont know wat to do, 1 min is way to less time for me to backup my files. So please help me.
Oh and P.S. Im writing this message from my laptop.

This could be a dirty system syndrome
Is you system shutting down because of all the dirt buildup?

Open your comp> Is it really dirty or do you keep it clean?

If you do keep it clean, on to the next step
What is Drive D> Can we transfer files/folders to it?
What is the format

We can do this the easy or hard way
Hard way, really depends if your comfortable with the inside of the computer
And if you have anything to save on the D:\ drive
You can always make D master and disconnect C:
Are they are the same IDE chain
Now D: becomes C:

Reinstall to master and then put C: to stave and pull your documents pix off of it
Easy way, in my mind anyways
Boot with a Linux distro
Copy>>Paste your files from C> to D>

All the live CD's i Have used, I still rely on Knoppix for emergencies
Do you want to go the route of Knoppix?
I will try to walk you thru it,

do you have a reliable connection on the internet
Or would you be more comfortable using a torrent client?

I wakumed the computers inside and went to sleep. Next morning strangly enoph it didnt freeze long enoph for me to backup my files. After that i inserted WinXp instalation disk and rebooted the PC. Then i booted from the disk and used Partition on c:/ disk, but it freezed at 99%. I restarted and tryed again, but then it freezed at booting from cd stage ( when the files were loading), so that meens somethings wrong with the hardware. Is it possible to find the problem and fix it by my self, or should i call a specialist? ( The computer still has the 2 year warranty )

Somehow after a longer period of time of leaving it alone it last longer. I left the PC alone for over 7h and i tryed again to format it, it completed the format but at windows instalation it freezed. Maybe theres something wrong with cooling or something like that?

Do you mean Vacuumed?
Don't use a Vacuum, I suggest you get a can of compressed air and clean inside

Just make sure all fans, cpu, etc.. look clean
and don't use a vacuum
Are all fans coming on when you start the computer?
