Hello,
My computer has the following message:
Primary Master hard disk SMART statute bad SMART error detected. It is advisable to immediately back up your drive and replace your hard-disk drive by calling your support desk at Dell. I called dell, and they suggested that I replace the drive.
Now for my questions:
What would be a good drive to buy to replace Dell X0769? Is it a better idea (because the computer was made in 2003) to replace the tower?
Specifications for the X0769 are : 30 g, IDE 7.2k, 60g/pin
Also, could a virus have caused this problem? I had a virus slip through AVG, and couldn't even post a Hijack this log.
thanks,
v. schmitt
