Title: computer runing slowly

it has widows vista and i know there are some programs i dont need and will probably not use i just need it for playing WoW and doing small projects how can i upgrade my pc performance

Well RAM is usually the first place to start when looking to do any upgrades, so I would start there.
You could also think about removing any unused programs. And using the 'Windows Classic' theme which with greatly improve performance, especially in Windows Vista
