Title: Slipstream of IE6sp1 - Is it really possible?
Post by: hillct on November 10, 2002, 10:42:55 PM
I have followed this vary informative thread (http://\"http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=software&Number=3703&page=&view=&sb=&o=&fpart=all&vc=1\") with great interest and have been successful in creating a slipstreamed Win2K install CD including SP3 and post SP3 hotfixes.

I am still unclear on if it\'s possible to truly slipstream an IE6 package. I have been able to create an automated installation package for IE6 and can force it to be installed as part of [GUIRunOnce] which is executed at the end of the installation but is it possible to truly slipstream the IE6 installation, similarly to that of service packs and hotfixes.

Also, the IE6 Administration Kit doesn\'t seem to allow for creation of a Win2K-only installation package (which of course would save space on the installation CD). Has anyone found a way to force creation of such a single-version package?

What are your experiences when dealing with these issues?

My IE6SP1 files are in the directory d:IE6.  They are from the IEAK Download..... Z:DownloadsIE6IEFLATWIN32IE6 (in my case).  I added the line in GuiRunOnce d:IE6ie6setup /q r:y and it installed and updated my IE completely unattended.  You may also just d/l the IE6 for W2k.

Hope this helps.

I\'d like to know how to install NAV 2003 unattended.
