Title: Paypal Help
Post by: Power-I on February 15, 2008, 07:01:13 PM
I recently was scammed, and I've attempted to get my money back thru a claim.
Paypal decided the claim in my favor, but did not return any money because the sellers account had a balance of $0.00.
Its been a few days now and paypal hasn't done anything, I used a creditcard for the transaction and I was tried to chargeback my money. I searched all over paypal and can't figure out how to actually do it.

I need help, add my msn if you want or just explain it.
Anything would be great, Thanks /wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />

I believe they can't do anything, all it does is put the other person's paypal account in negative amount of money. If they get any more money in their account, it will go to you. Until then just try calling paypal or wait it out.

They haven't... This is what they said

We have completed our investigation of this case. We attempted to process a refund from the seller's account to your account. Unfortunately, the seller's account does not contain the funds necessary to cover this refund. We were able to recover $0.00 USD. We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information. No further action is required of you at this time.

This was over a week ago. Nothing has happened.

They don't send you money for free, once he puts money in the account it will be sent to you.

Well like Shibbiness said they will start to contact him, I think you can somehow check the phone number on their account and call him. Paypal investigates and all... also you can probably sue.

Well it is criminal to do that, so if you can prove it, paypal has to investigate further and/or contact the police. Or you can and paypal has records of IP address used.
