Mind if I talk in 3rd person?
Well, when Gail goes to the outlet, he plugs his laptop charger in.
The nice little green light on the adapter tells me that it is plugged in. Now here's the problem, when I plug the lapotop end of the cord into the... laptop... that nice little green light goes out.

I could use a little help here...
Thanks.
Edit: The laptop is an Inspiron|6000... they are both Dell products.
I have used this cord since I got my lapotop 2004.
Edit: Sometimes it says that this is not a Dell charger when it clearly is... =3
I just tried it with my dad's charger, same thing happens...
So this clearly means that the problem is with my laptop, is there anyway to configure it to recognize it as a charger, or do I have to buy something, replace something, buy a new laptop...

I don't know if this is an active forum, but I would hope so, since it looks like I have one hour left...
Please reply soon.

Honestly, have you tried the simplest things
With the battery inserted to laptop, FULLY charge it
Then FULLY drain it a few times
I don't mean, get down to 10%, I mean fully drain it
Do that a few times, if it still won't hold a charge, may be time for a new battery
