So I work at a T.G.I.Friday's restaurant as a waiter. I went into work yesterday and they had this announcement posted all over the stores. It was a full page, but the basic gist of it was that:
1) They were gonna start doing random drug testing
2) Employees would randomly be selected every month to go
3) They would be given 2 hours notice to go to a hospital and go to their lab
4) If didn't show up they were fired
5) If they failed they had to go to a drug rehab program
6) If they failed twice they were fired
I don't do drugs so I was fine. People were FREAKING out. One girl was crying, a couple people were talking like they couldn't keep the job and didn't know what they were gonna do - really upset and scared about the whole thing.
It was an April Fools joke, lol.
Really goes to show you how many people in restaurants are doing it though...I swear I was one of like 3 people in the whole place who wasn't worried, lol.
