I recently had my harddrive replaced. There was no sound icon in the taskbar, so I installed the latest driver and everything was fine. Until I found out my microphone is not working. I have tried going into the control panel and clicking around on sound & audio devices, SoundMax (which was automatically installed when I installed the driver), and all the properties, I can't find anything that says the microphone is muted. When I try to test it, it says no microphone is detected. Any ideas as to how I might fix this? Thank you in advance!

Although, you may not have a Gateway computer
