I have AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition installed and all is running smoothly, or it was until this morning.
Now the Windows Security Centre has alerted me that I have no Anti-Virus running. I have updated, checked and double-checked from the AVG Control Centre and all elements are installed and up-to-date.
The control centre states:
"Windows did not find anti-virus software on this computer."
Anyone else had this problem?
Very strange indeed.
PS - The OS is Vista.

This is the same laptop as the HiJackThis log in the other post.
I have told Windows not to monitor or warn me continuously because the AntiVirus (AVG) seems to be working perfectly. I know that this may be dangerous though.
I have had a lot of problems with this OS as it is the dreaded Vista.
Do you have any ideas, good chap?

PS - Here's a fresh HiJackThis just in case you need it.
Scrap that - I can't get HiJackThis to run on this [censored]ty Vista. I have ran it as the administrator but it says HiJackThis is already running and won't let me save a logfile. On second thoughts, I just restarted the computer, sorry, Vista is a pain!!
