John McCain "A Leader We Can Believe In"
-
You might be able to believe IN him, but you can't actually believe HIM.
He twists everything he says to make his backwards idiotic ideas sound appealing to the American public. If people actually knew what the things he said meant, he wouldn't get a single vote. (See my sig)
-
JBLEE he doesn't even know how to use a computer so i don't think, he alone, would chose to back that. I doubt he even knows what that means.
-
It has nothing to do with using a computer, it has to do with "rights to businesses". It is his oppinion that businesses should be allowed to do whatever they want with the products they sell. It is his oppinion that ISP's should be allowed to do whatever they want with the internet connections they sell. If this is allowed, then ISPs will start limiting the internet access that they send out. You will start buying individual sites much like how you buy individual TV stations now. "OK sir, that will be an extra $3 a month for Showtime." will become "OK sir, that will be an extra $3 a month for Youtube." Some ISP's will go a different route and allow all websites, but allot most of their bandwidth to certain sites. Meaning Myspace and Youtube will remain normal, but TheTechGuide will be insanely slow in an effort to get you to use their affiliates over others.
He might not know any of this, he might not know what a keyboard is for all I care, but if he gives the rights to businesses to do whatever they want with their products, it is inevitable. It has already happened in hundreds of countries, it is happening in the UK in 2009, it will happen in the US if McCain becomes president, end of story.
---
But now that you mention it, why would ANYONE ever vote for a leader who doesn't use computers? We are at a point in time where technology is no longer an option. Newspapers are limited, the internet is not. Mail is slow, email is immediate. Going to a store proves limited inventory, buying something online allows you to see every product that you could possibly be looking for. Why elect a president that has and will continue to knowingly oppose technological advancement?
---
People need to stop saying "Well, we have to choose one of them..." and start realizing that the fact that you do not like either candidate combined with the fact that you have no alternative choice is WRONG. If the majority of the country can collectively agree on the fact that neither candidate is fit for the job, then new candidates should be chosen. "Settling" on someone who is going to lead your country for the next 4 years is the most idiotic thing I have heard in my life. People need to stand up, spread the truth, stop watching corporate media and believing everything they hear, and realize that they are adding to the downfall of our country by compromising with the flawed system we have transformed our "democratic" political society into...
-
i watched the colbert report and he had a guest who said something that was supposed to diss people who couldn't use computers, but i forgot...

NOBAMA 08' [censored] this forum sucks now
-
The internet is a vast network of content that can not be controlled or monitored, and if one small nation can harbor weapons of mass destruction, then I fear to think what the internet can do. We have to shut it down before it shuts us down.
That is a direct quote from John McCain.
A vote for McCain is a vote for the end of the internet.

OBAMA FTW
McCain & Palin? Nooo
What if Pres McCain got Assasinated. Do you want Palin to be in charge of our Country? ..."I can see Russia from my house"
Also, McCain said he would re-institute the Daft! I do not want to go to war. It is time for some Democrats in here.. No more G-Dub's. McCain took George Bush's side on 90% of his decisions... George Bush only made 10% of his screw-ups on his own (Without the help of McCain)
OBAMA FOR AMERICA
-
lol politics suck i bet only like two people who have posted here actually can vote
-
Palin didn't actually say that... she said something about being able to see Russia from Alaska and then Tina Fey said "I can see Russia from my house"
and if those are the only reasons you have for not voting for McCain then you only know what you have seen on commercials...
anyway if McCain is elected then basically the country will be [censored]ed even if he doesn't die while in office.
Personally if he gets elected I am going to exchange all my American Dollars for some silly European currency and wait for the dollar to fall below the peso... then convert it back and buy me a pony.
-
Reazee is right. Sarah Palin did not say that. Tina Fey did however. And Yes you can truly see Russia from Alaska.

Palin still isn't qualified, McCain is still doing/saying anything to get votes from people who don't listen/idiots and Obama still isn't a socialist or closet Muslim.
Can you actually give a reason to why you think McCain is better than Obama besides giving links to places that give misleading facts and say they don't use smear tactics yet call him a socialist/imply he is a Muslim (which in Republican means terrorist apparently)?
-
Republicans believe everything negative they hear about Obama, and then completely deny/tune out everything bad about McCain.
Democrats believe everything negative they hear about McCain, and then listen to what you have to say bad about Obama, tell you that's interesting, and then forget it within the next 5 seconds.
Republicans are just more outspoken and forceful about their beliefs, while Democrats use hidden tactics and actual thought. I despise both parties, as well as both candidates, the only difference I see is that McCain WILL cause problems and Obama MAY cause problems.
However, as I said earlier in this topic:
People need to stop saying "Well, we have to choose one of them..." and start realizing that the fact that you do not like either candidate combined with the fact that you have no alternative choice is WRONG. bottom line is McCain will ruin this country worse than bush honestly Obama isn't that great either, clinton was probably the way to go seeing as shes the only one who was actually making sense and telling the truth...

OK This is what I HATE.
I can't stand the fact that people say Sarah Palin isn't qualified. What about Obama? What experience does he have? Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska. She has executive experience. Barrack Obama has little to none executive experience. The only reason people have forgetten about question Barrack Obamas experience is because he has been all over the news in the past months and the liberal elite media has basically given him a free ride. (No I seldem watch Fox News) Ok well maybe he was a "community organizer." Sarah Palin's approval rating is in the 80%. And what the heck does it matter? Sarah Palin is at the bottom of the ticket. Since when did this matter? Let me guess you will say "but McCain is old" You know what? SO WHAT? His freaking mother is still alive. She is like 96, I think, so i think there is only a slight chance of him dying while in office. Who cares if he is old.
Yes I can give you many reasons of why John McCain is better than Barrack Obama.
First of all I am a conservative and would defintily never vote for some that left.
Second of all John McCain wants to use Americas resources and use our coal and oil instead of getting it from over seas.
Third. Barrack Obama wants "A National Healthcare System" AKA socialised medicine. I do not want that, and also it would end up hurting us in the end.
Also about those links. That was just a joke... I know it isnt true.

It matters about Palin because she would become the vice president... she couldn't even answer what the vice presidents job is correctly. Second of all she was as corrupt of a governor as you could get, she stole money, she gave her friends jobs and she even fired that guy for going after her brother or something.
A national health care system run by the government is a good thing because if it is privatized then hospitals will become businesses who are in it for profit rather than helping people.
I can't comment on what McCain wants to do because he is constantly flip flopping to whatever people want to hear, even in the same speech at one point, or just says "Obama is wrong, I will fix everything" and doesn't give a plan.
Research the great depression and use logic, raising taxes for people making more money makes sense and the fact that those with a lot of money are so resistant and hostile towards the idea is proof that the trickle down theory wouldn't work because these people don't want to let go of their money.
McCain might be a good leader for a country at war, however I am sure he would be just as corrupt as Bush is, but right now we need someone who can fix our problems in this country. Right now our biggest problem is the economy and Obama is the right person for that. Also try looking up what Obama actually did to see what experience he had, to compare his experience with Palin is ridiculous and the only reason she has high approval ratings is because Alaska has a bunch of loggers and oil workers up there that associate with Palin because of the way she acts, not because she has done a remotely good job.
McCain only chose Palin to win over hardcore republicans and he had hoped it would get the women votes that would have gone to Hillary, not because she is a good choice. He is trying anything he can to weasel his way into getting voters because he realizes this is his last chance to be president.

She was not a corrupt governor. Must you believe every negative story you here in the Liberal Media. This election was a joke. The media handed Obama the job. I saw a video of Sarah Palin being hung by a noose. If someone made a statue of Obama and hung him in the noose they would be sent to jail probably. Obama is playing the race card and to his benefit.

Wait... they didn't hand him the race and he isn't playing the race card... the only time I have seen anything about his race lately is when McCain supporters were saying he was Arab and McCain said no...
And if you notice 90% of the negative media coverage is just sound clips or video of the candidates. SNL is flipping stuff around but its SNL.
and how do you call stealing money and hiring your unqualified friends for important government positions not corrupt? AND she is on trial for wrongful termination!
If race is what decided this election the thing to blame is McCains campaign and its supporters for calling him a secret Muslim, Arab and all that crap that isn't true / doesn't matter.
-
If she was a corrupt governor she wouldn't have an 82% approval rating. All the Sarah Palin haters want to make it look like she is bad and only point out the bad stuff she does. She has done a lot of good things that the liberals do not want to mention.
For example:
She wants small government. She cut the budget in Alaska and gave the extra money back to the people.
EDIT: about the SNL. I don't care about that. I think that is funny.
Also how can someone be dumb enough to vote for someone when there own VP says a national crisis is guaranteed if Barrack Obama gets elected.
-
Also if John McCain was smart he would point out several times that Barrack Obama broke his promise of accepting public financing. Barrack said that he would do public financing so that he wouldn't have an advantage over McCain. If Barrack Obama can't keep his promises during his campaign, just imagine how many promises he will break if he were to win the election.
Barrack Obama wants to raise taxes during this tough economy. At first he said that 1 million dollars was rich. Then it fell down to 500,000. Now he thinks that 250,000 was rich. Now Joe Biden let it slip that if you make 150,000 or less you will benefit from lower taxes. That just show that Barrack Obama doesn't care about the middle class and sees that he has to raise taxes to pay for all these dumb plans he has for a bigger government.
-
Not that I love McCain or anything, but do any of you realize just how corrupt the state system where Obama came to power was? His state alone has the highest record of dead people showing up to the polling booth and voting.
would go on, but this has basically turned into a trolls trolling trolls thread.

Chicago always had corrupt politicians.
As much as i despise Obama ( I despise him less and less everyday) I think that he had nothing to do with it.
