Title: HJT Log Please help again....

Been having more problems with my puter.Dont know if it the kids or me but we keep getting popups that should be caught by our blocker programs.  At the top of the popup it says "Ron Ads by globaladsolution.com"  I went into add/remove and found and removed it but keeps reappearing.
 Help again Please.

Post both those logs please

I got the same problem from an executable file off of Limewire (imagine that...). The only place I have seen this mentioned is on Threatexpert.com but no repair instructions. Looking forward to the fix

Hi cwohayes, It would help if you start your own topic here in the Tech Clinic and post the same logs I asked for from RSIT.exe
Should be able to help resolve this problem

Can you please do the following

Download > [color=\"red\"]OTMoveIt3[/color] (http://\"http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTMoveIt3.exe\") <[/url] by OldTimer.
[color=\"red\"]Note[/color]:  If an entry cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose "Yes".

A Log should open, I'll need to see it later
If no log opens
OTMoveIt would of created a log at this location
C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles\mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log <-indicates date_time of log

Before posting back
You still have Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware installed
Can you Open the program, when it opens
Click on the UPDATE tab, then Check for Updates

You will be prompted when the update is successful
Then with the program open click on the Scanner tab
Select Quick Scan if it's not selected then click Scan
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
 =Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
 = When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
   
+The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
   
+ Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediately.

Can you also post the log from OTMoveit3

Also, can you run RSIT.exe again, this time just post the log that opens>>log.txt

OK, logs look better, but a couple questions

The log from MBAM shows it was an old scan
Did you update Malwarebytes and run a fresh quick scan?
If so, can you post here the most recent log

In addition, can you let me know if you ran OTMoveit3 more than once with the instructions I posted?
If so, can I see the first log it created

The version of MBAM is correct, but the database version is still outdated
Would you mind checking for updates again with MBAM, it will prompt that update successful
Run another quick scan and post the new log that opens

Also, That OTMoveit log, did you run OTMoveit more than twice?

You can just copy and paste the logs back here in a reply
The problem is just with the RSIT log.txt causing the error when replying

Don't worry about the OTMoveit logs
Still the same outcome
They must have been removed when it ran into the EmptyTemp command error
The last log.txt from RSIT showed the files and registry entry were gone

Could you post in a reply back here a Fresh HijackThis log and let me know how things are now running please

Go to START>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>System Restore
Select>>Create a New restore point
Give it a name and click Create
Windows will prompt when it was created successfully

When that's done

Go to START>>RUN>>type the following
cleanmgr
Hit OK
Let if finish calculating

Select the More Options tab
and click Cleanup.. under 'System Restore'
This will clear all later restore points except for the one you just made

Ok the prompts, it may take a few seconds to remove old restore points
Ok again after it's ready and let it finish cleaning

Access your Add and Remove Programs and remove older versions of Java
We'll update this in a bit to take advantage of Security fixes
Remove both the following with your browser windows closed
Java(tm) 6 Update 4
Java(tm) 6 Update 7


Don't reboot if prompted, instead
OTMoveit3.exeNOTE: This procedure will also delete OTMoveit.exe from desktop

Back in Windows
