Basically in my own words.
The three wise men or kings or what ever you want to call them wanted to bring gifts to Jesus.
They brought Gold, Frankincense, and Myre.
And we celebrate his birthday because he is our savior.
I can't remember exactly why the date December 25th was chosen but i think it has something to do with the Romans.

There used to be a pagan ritual on the 25th where they would slaughter an animal, tie it to a pine tree and drag it home then eat it... the pope wanted to convert pagans so he made Christmas on the same day and instead of killing an animal they would just bring a pine tree home and give each other presents.
