I'm trying to copy a setup application to a disc. I downloaded it and saved it to my desktop. When I move the program to the CD drive to burn it I get a message that there is extra information attached to it that may be lost when I copy the program. The message also states the contents of the file will not be affected. Any idea what files will not be copied? How can I be sure that I get everything I need to set up the application on my friend's pc, who, by the way, doesn't have internet access, otherwise I would download it directly onto his pc.

Not knowing operating systems involved or type/name of setup file
But to get around it
Do you have a USB stick handy
Redownload the file but save directly to the Thumbdrive
Then transfer to friends computer
Or install from the thumbdrive

Thanks, I'll try the thumbdrive.

If you absolutely must have it on a cd, heres one of the various options i would do.
i would zip the file. Then i would burn it.

if the pc tells me that it still wont keep all of the information, ill put it into the trash can,
because that doesnt make sense.
