Post by: Tracky110XP on December 21, 2002, 01:15:30 PM
Just out Direct X 9 is not available from microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.asp). But this one could be worth while, take a look here. http://www.evolvingworlds.com (http://\"http://www.evolvingworlds.com\")

\"Ok, this is not what I expected. The DX9 SDK is now installed and i\'m perusing the demo programs (most of which come in VB, C#, and C++ flavors). And I soon notice that the C# programs are more often than not outperforming the equivalent C++ program (in the same environments). In some cases the difference is as much as 400fps! I wonder what exactly is causing this, as all i\'ve heard up to now is that C# programs would be a tad slower than the C++ equivalent.\"

hummm, sound like M$ might have gotten somthing right here, we will see as more programs are writen in C#
