Post by: prosthetic on March 31, 2009, 08:20:43 PM
I've recently noticed a slow computer performance and decided to run a new scan only to find its infested. I can't even open the internet without having explorer rape the desktop with millions of windows. I've tried trojan remover, kaspersky, and nod32, some help would be appreciated if you could please /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> Heres my hijackthis log:

Can you scan a few files for me please
go to this link
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html (http://\"http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html\")
Browse to the file

c:\documents and settings\Owner\Application Data\gyriwyruje.pif
Then use the SEND FILE button
Let it finish scanning
Could you post back the results this scan back here please
Or better yet, just link to the results page

Do the same the next couple
c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\yzicyt.dat
c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\ycareqira.com

Here's the link to the first one:

http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/65f7d3b...eb6ce19b1a297af (http://\"http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/65f7d3b65939f1309eb6ce19b1a297af\")

The first file was the only file i was able to scan, the other two didn't exist anymore. I typed them in to see if maybe they were hidden but it told me those last two files were not found. Maybe that's a good thing

I suspect the files to be old leftovers
But, let see what we can do with the following

Delete your copy of ComboFix
REDownload ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1 (http://\"http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe\")
Link 2 (http://\"http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe\")
Link 3 (http://\"http://subs.geekstogo.com/ComboFix.exe\")
Save it ONLY to your Desktop

Copy ALL the BLUE text below and Paste to notepad
Don't use anything else than notepad or the script will not work

Save this as txtfile on your desktop, with the exact name of
CFScript
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif)
Drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe
Combofix will start>>Follow the prompts
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

When finished, it shall produce a log for you  with the same name C:\ComboFix.txt..
Can you post that log please

In addition, post a fresh Hijackthis log and keep me informed how things are now running

It looks as if Kaspersky's has not reentered it's settings in the AppInit_DLLs Registry value

Can you do the following
Access your Add and Remove programs and remove anything to do with
ViewPoint
You may have more than one entry

Do a "System scan only" with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {E0E899AB-F487-11D5-8D29-0050BA6940E3} - (no file)

After you have ticked the above entries, close All other open windows
Including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

==Open Notepad (START>>>RUN>>>type in notepad)
Hit OK
Copy the contents of the CODE box, not including the word "code"
Paste it to the empty Notepad file
In Notepad click FILE>>SAVE AS
IMPORTANT>>>Change the Save as Type to All Files.
Name the file as fix.reg

Save this file on the desktop
Ensure to copy from REGEDIT4 and down in the code box

Code: [Select]
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows]
"appinit_dlls"="C:\PROGRA~1\KASPER~1\KASPER~1\mzvkbd.dll,C:\PROGRA~1\KASPER~1\KASPER~1\mzvkbd3.dll,C:\PROGRA~1\KASPER~1\KASPER~1\adialhk.dll,C:\PROGRA~1\KASPER~1\KASPER~1\kloehk.dll"

Double click on fix.reg and allow to add/merge to the registry at the prompt
Reboot the computer

Come back here and post a Fresh Hijackthis log and let me know how everythings running
Including how Kaspersky's is

My bad, I just realized when I had you do fix.reg, I only included one backwardslash between each folder/file

Can you do the following instead
Delete fix.reg on desktop, we're going to redo that step

==Open Notepad (START>>>RUN>>>type in notepad)
Hit OK
Copy the contents of the CODE box, not including the word "code"
Paste it to the empty Notepad file
In Notepad click FILE>>SAVE AS
IMPORTANT>>>Change the Save as Type to All Files.
Name the file as fix.reg

Save this file on the desktop
Ensure to copy from REGEDIT4 and down in the code box

Code: [Select]
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows]
"appinit_dlls"=-
"AppInit_DLLs"="C:\\PROGRA~1\\KASPER~1\\KASPER~1\\mzvkbd.dll,C:\\PROGRA~1\\KASPER~1\\KASPER~1\\mzvkbd3.dll,C:\\PROGRA~1\\KASPER~1\\KASPER~1\\adialhk.dll,C:\\PROGRA~1\\KASPER~1\\KASPER~1\\kloehk.dll"

Double click on fix.reg and allow to add/merge to the registry at the prompt
Reboot the computer

Come back here and post a Fresh Hijackthis log

Delete fix.reg on desktop

then do the following, we're going to redo fix.reg
==Open Notepad (START>>>RUN>>>type in notepad)
Hit OK
Copy the contents of the CODE box, not including the word "code"
Paste it to the empty Notepad file
In Notepad click FILE>>SAVE AS
IMPORTANT>>>Change the Save as Type to All Files.
Name the file as fix.reg

Save this file on the desktop
Ensure to copy from REGEDIT4 and down in the code box

Code: [Select]
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows]
"AppInit_DLLs"="C:\\PROGRA~1\\KASPER~1\\KASPER~1\\mzvkbd.dll,C:\\PROGRA~1\\KASPER~1\\KASPER~1\\mzvkbd3.dll,C:\\PROGRA~1\\KASPER~1\\KASPER~1\\adialhk.dll,C:\\PROGRA~1\\KASPER~1\\KASPER~1\\kloehk.dll"

Go to START>>RUN>>
copy and paste the following

 combofix /u
and press enter
This will uninstall ComboFix and it's components

I suggest that you add SpywareBlaster to your protection software
SpywareBlaster  by JavaCool (http://\"http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html\")
At the link you can read more about it then continue with
Free Download on the right>>Continue Download at next page
Basically it Select Manual updating when installing
After installation, Check for updates
After updating, select "Protection Status" on the Left
Then select "Enable all Protection"
"Check for updates every couple of weeks"
after every update just simply click the "enable protection on all unprotected items"
or again, click on Protection Startus>>enable all protection

I would opt to hold onto Malwarebytes, update and run a quick scan occassionally
Or uninstall it from Add and Remove programs
