winxp pro cdrom  is  allready a bootable  cdrom , you can eventually ad cdrom as second boot device  if floppy is first in the advanced bios features .

Try this site? It contains all the info needed along with the files! I reconize this is WIN98 but will only require minor adjustments.

Hello I\'ve been searching for a way to do exactly the same thing.  I\'ve been searching google and havn\'t been able to find anything useful.  Actually I found a page with EXACTLY what I needed but guess what -- 404.

Closest answere I found on google was this guide http://www.thetechguide.com/win2kbootcd/ (http://\"http://www.thetechguide.com/win2kbootcd/\")
I followed it with my XP cd but I get an error on boot \"No emulation\" and I have to reboot.  I want to do this because I\'m getting a new hard drive and I have made a copy of the WinXP setup files on my HD with SP1 slipstreamed in.  Yes, I have a legit CD.  Could someone tell me what settings need to be adjusted in that totorial to copy the boot sector off my original cd to the copied CD with SP1?

There could be  something wrong with the installation in the bios . There\'s always the possibility of the doubt

Go To This Website

http://www.theeldergeek.com/index.htm (http://\"http://www.theeldergeek.com/index.htm\")

to find out exactly how to make a Bootable CD that incorporates SP1 called Slip_Streaming. I did and it works great. You don\'t have to add the SP1 file into it if you don\'t want to but why not if you want a bootable CD for loading XP Pro or Home (whichever disc you own). Adding SP1 (downloadable from Microsoft\'s Website) makes it less time consuming then adding it later. You can also add extra programs to the disk that you use with XP like WinRAR or Tweak programs as long as there is room on the Disk

One thing not made perfectly clear is you also need a ISO program (ISO Buster) to extract the \"Microsoft Corporation.img\" file from your original disk.

and of course a cd burner and blank discs
