I have WinME and I want to install XP without losing my files and such, is it possible? if yes how do I go about it?

when you install an upgrade you'll keep your files, unless you format your drive.

can you post what files are on your WinMe CD?
I have a recovery disk from packard bell, and I extracted all the cab files but it doesn't install them, i got as far as rebooting the CPU but thats all, i think I am missing some files.
