Title: can't burn cds, dvds work fine
Post by: lauramagraham1984 on December 30, 2009, 04:05:26 PM
I'm running an Acer Aspire 5920 with Vista home premium. I've always used Media Player 11 to burn cds, but for past few weeks it won't work. I get an error message with the code : You've encountered error message C00D10DA while using Windows Media Player.

I've tried all their suggestions, I tried a clean windows install, i tried a system restore, using different discs, exiting all other running programmes, and nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've read a few answers online that involve changing something in the registry, which I'm not 100% confident to do without coaching of some sort.

Thanks

At what speed are you burning the disks at?
Have you tried reducing the burning speed?
