Title: My laptop stopped recognizing my dvd rw drive.

My toshiba laptop stopped recognizing my dvd rw drive and it won't play anything. It opens and closes fine. I am running Vista Home Premium. Thanks in advance for any help.

Try Microsoft's Fixit tool, reboot after running it
