A friend of mine installed IE 6 SP1 and the Admin kit. He doesn\'t know much about computers, so he has no idea what his procedures were during the install.
He is also a user that downloads and installs EVERYTHING.
I attempted to fix his lockup problem last night with no luck.
He\'s on WIndows 98 SE.
The Internet Properties screen will not allow you to modify the Home Page or the Secuirty settings. The buttons are all grayed out. Like policies were set somehow. It\'s a home PC, and he would have no idea how to set policies.
How can I turn these functions back on? Do I need to use the Admin kit? I tried uninstalling all the way back to IE 5.01 SP1, but the buttons were still grayed out. So we reinstalled IE6 SP1, but same thing.
Any suggestions?
