Title: InstalledXP How do I clean it up
Post by: Angel on January 25, 2003, 02:31:28 PM
Well I installed a legal version of XP Pro on top of what had transpired to be a dodgy copy.  Anyway everything went well - I activated it - it is fine but I noticed there are a lot of old things on my PC from before - like games - old software etc which take up a lot of space and I can\'t uninstall them via the uninstall XP provides.
In another forum someone said to uninstall the old XP - well - I am totally at a loss - can anyone give me a step by step guide as to how to rid myself of the old rubbish....
These old things are apparent when I go into My Computer and search it for hidden files.  When I installed XP I asked for a clean install and it warned I would lose old data but it is still there using up space.

Thank you

Ange

As you made a clean install ,and you know which are the old installation folders just delete them .
