Ok, my roomate\'s computer runs on Windows XP. It appears that he had gotten a virus, and it also appears to have wiped out his computer. It is impossible to get into windows, wether it be thru safe mode or normal. What I need is to be able to boot to the command prompt and format the C: drive but I can\'t seem to get to that option. If anyone can be of ANY help whatsoever, please send an instant message thru AIM to \"PackersF4\". I dont ever give that out, so please dont just spam me, I really have a serious problem. Please help. Thank you.....

your best bet is to check out www.bootdisk.com, download the Win98 SE image and use that, that will allow you to get to the DOS prompt

If you have the XP cd still on hand just boot off the CD to start a new installtion, durring the install you will have a chance to format the hard drive.
PS. you may have to change the boot oder in the BIOS in order to get the system to boot off the XP cd.
