Title: XP pro corp install freezes on black screen...

hi im hoping you guys can help me here..

the problem is when installing XP PRO CORP. when it restarts for the first time in the install process it just freezes on a blank screen /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> ive tried leaving it for ages and nothing happens /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

the strange thing is i can manage to install XP PRO fine... i have tried 2 dif copies of XP PRO CORP. with no luck /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

please any suggestions welcome

(i have the correct drivers on for my hardware gfx, snd, nic etc)

the same copy of windows xp pro corp works on 2 other computers so do u think its some kind of hardware conflict on my system? although i cant really understand that seen as i can get windows xp pro to install fine... just not the corp version !

if the installation is going to a black screen then try to swap out the video card in the system with a different manufature.

remove the nic card and the sound card then try installing. I have seen many nic cards which would cause an install of XP or 2000 to do exactly what you are describing.

hey hows it going!  
I have had the same problem where the screen goes black.
I don\'t know what to tell you but i went ahead and bought a new hard drive and since have had no probs.

I had that problem with Win XP Pro.

I had to remove the Raid card.  Mine was the LinkSys and I have since changed to SIIG without any more problems.
