Title: OEM work around

I have a copy of windows 2000pro oem version which came with a Dell computer, now I have a computer which I would like to install on but is not a dell system. Problem, I receive a msg at beginning of install that computer is not a Dell and therefore cannot procede. Is there a way to get around this?

i cant remember if i got mine to work this way but i had the disk and created boot disk and installed it that way. i must say it is slower but i think i got around it that way.

as i said not 100% but worth a try
