hi PPLS,
            I am trying to re-install windows xp as a reformat for a sad pc and i get the message \"invalid INF file txtsetup.sif\" come up after install is rebooting and installation has failed. Please help? /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' />

With something like this, it could be a bad cd, or possible bad ram in the system.

Try swapping out the ram in the system then try it again.
