I didnt have a burner in my box that i USED until today. It's always been there
and able to burn..but i never tried since i had no reason to. With that in mind
i went ahead and tried it for knoppix and WOW...it burn's FAST.
I used the gui/frontend for cdrtools called cdroast and it just flew through the
job.
Why does it go sooo fast on Linux and sooo slow on windows???
The cd works flawlessly too, if it was a fuc't up cd it produce's i would understand...
but its NOT. It is just as good as the one i burnt in win right after that....that took
3 minutes longer!!!!

Burnt the same cd on a win2k box using nero in about 3 min

Wow. Really? strange my image i burnt took longer.
how fast did you burn it though...i forgot to state that
if you burn real fast then yea. I burn at 24x with smartburn.
If you used smartburn i dont think it is even possible with nero
to burn a full cd at that speed...with any drive or speed.
btw if you burn that fast with nero watch out..sounds like
you dont have smartburn enabled and nero really needs that
option. Its not the most stable software out there.
3 mins wow though...i personally would not trust the integrity of
the data that fast. using nero i barely trust it now
/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />. Discjuggler
i trust way more but cant really afford to get a version of it that
is not fuc't up somewhat. i.e. the hack/crack fix's not allowing
image creations :-O.
