Title: almost created a real Windows on CD
Post by: Thanh Tung on June 11, 2003, 04:12:29 AM
I have run Windows following the guide at http://www.heise.de/ct/english/99/11/206/ (http://\"http://www.heise.de/ct/english/99/11/206/\")

When I run the Windows on HDD before burning it on CD, it runs very well except for a notice each time the Windows start: Registry fail to repair....., then I hit enter, it runs directly to Windows.

However, when I burn the this Windows and then run Windows from CD, it pops up a notice: \"cannot load gdi.exe\" and then shut down.

I don't know how to repair.

Someone please helps me

Thank you

Your going to have to point that file to load amongst ALOT of others to load into a ram drive.

it's not exactly a easy thing to do...as of now i have meet nobody that has done it.

However i heard that some have gotten it to work by using a image orginally installed with
win98lite...it was like 25mb from what they said. However they still had to edit ALOT of registry
entires and text files to get the thing to work.

i would give up on that and just run knoppix or something (its better anyways)
