Title: NON-PnP ISA
Post by: landoflochs on June 19, 2003, 04:54:33 PM
Built a a new system with one ISA Slot so I could access my older devices,
Only to find out that XP doesnot support old NON-PnP Adapters.
Is there away around this problem with XP; outside of buying new adapters
which may or may not work with the older devices?

What do you mean \"adapter\"..im lost on that?? how could you buy a new adapter?? not sure what you
mean. A isa slot is not a adaptor. Good luck on finding a ISA2PCI adapter...which even if you did wouldnt
help you.

you need to setup your comX, make sure you have a avail. irq and find the i/o address.

maybe you should not use XP ???

XP should be able to use ISA slots since its on the mobo..if not that just plain sux and i would get off XP.
otherwise 'have disk' the drivers for the bus for whatever you trying to run. and is there even correct
drivers for XP in regards to your ISA device???
