Title: winampa.exe error message

Hi all,

I got a message during start up on my Windows NT4.0 which I want to get rid of. The message I got on a dialog box is “Cannot find the file ‘C:\Program Files\winampa.exe’ (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available”.
This happen after I uninstall winamp3 full. I also deleted all files that I believe are the components of this software but unfortunately still the same. I tried also to delete its registry files using regedt32 but still the message remains. I was thinking to change (if possible) the start up sequence but I don’t what command I should used.
Please help on what else I can do to solve this problem.  /sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':(\' /> Thanks in advance.

Try winamp.exe not winampa.exe   although im not sure what winampa.exe is for...16bit like your using??

Sorry for the missing part on the error message. The path directory should be ‘C:\Program Files\Winamp3\winampa.exe’ and actually I don’t want to see this dialog box message during the start up. Please help.

I'd search through the registry for winampa.exe.  Sounds like winampa stands for winamp agent, which is something that is set to start automatically everytime you boot your PC.  Probably made an entry in either the registry or your startup folder.  Find it and delete it.
