Title: XP folders sharing
Post by: cfree on July 08, 2003, 04:58:30 AM
In my win XP I cannot get any folder sharing options rather that folder shared or not shared in network. How can I share the folder with lot of options, like password defined access, etc.

Well I don't know fully if you can share folders already or not but the sharing option for password access etc the way that windows 2000 shares folders can be turnedon via the tools\Folder options\view menu right at the bottome of the scroll list is the use simple sharing option, if you turn that off then you can use password sharing etc. However ifyou have private files and folders turned on you can't share those folders that are private.
