Post by: cboy on August 11, 2003, 12:15:42 PM
Hi there! I've installed emule on my computer at work, but i'm getting a low id because i'm behind a router and i can't open the port 4662, or any other port.
i don't have the password for the router.
does anyone know how to solve this prob.?

Check with your Administrator if you are allowed to use emule on the network.

You could also try and change the port to 80 or 8080 as these are
the default HTTP ports.

If neither works then sorry. As an Admin myself I dont allow P2P
programs on the Corp. network  because of security reasons.

To change port settings goto Network settings and look for the
port settings.

thanks for the tips, but i've already tried to change the port to 80.
for some reason, emule wants port 4662 opened, otherwise it will give you a low id.
sometimes emule finds the port 80 closed to.
