Title: cd key
Post by: aaandin on August 12, 2003, 02:27:23 PM: i've win 2000 cd with unknown cd key. i dont know the nature of the cd. i want to make use of it to clean install against windows Me, i do not have a cd for this. any suggestion.

And on more thing. About your problem, try making a bootable cd and modify your setup.ini so that the instalation will not ask you for a cd key. If you don't know how, i'll be more than happy to show you.
If you don't want a boot cd, copy the 2k cd on your HD and than modify the setup.ini.

Post by: Guest on August 13, 2003, 04:45:26 PM: change your boot sequence in BIOS so your computer will boot from the cd-rom.
if it's not, try this tutorial on http://www.tech-hints.com/2kos.html (http://\"http://www.tech-hints.com/2kos.html\") to make a bootable cd, there you ca find also an explination on how to modify the setup.ini
