The sound in redhat linux 8.0 is off. Please tell me how can i play mp3 in xmms redhat linux 8.0. Thx /huh.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':huh:\' /> ?

Simply find a newer XMMS rpm package suitable for RH8 and as ROOT in a shell consolle type:

rpm -Uvh xmms-... -... (were ... is the complete name of file) --replacepkgs --test

if you had no return error messages simply retype as above erasing --test.

Now your RH can play Mp3 quite good.

RedHat won't you to play Mp3 but it's easy to drop the problem!! java script:emoticon('/biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />')
