Title: Two Video Cards In One Machine
Post by: Guest_Michael Hunt on November 15, 2003, 10:24:01 PM
I'm looking to build a new high end computer under either Windows XP Pro or 64-Bit using the new AMD 64-fx w/ the ASUS SK8N Motherboard. And i want to put in two video cards. Preferably the AGP ATI Radeon 9600 and the PCI ATI Radeon 7500. I think it will work, but i want to be sure both cards will work together before i go buy them. Could someone please help me?

Yeh that should work OK, I think you just go into BIOS and choose PCI or AGP to switch between the 2 cards. Why do you want a 7500 PCI card as well as the 9600?
Also if you are building a HIGH END pc then you would be using a 9800XT since the 9600pro in a classed as a buget card.  I've never personally tried this so good luck. /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

I dont really want to switch between them. I want to use them both at the same time. And i didnt choose anything higher than the 9600 cause of price. I'm already over 2grand estimated price and a 9700 or 9800 would put it up a lot more.

that should work, in the bios is the one that the system boots up on, within windows both can be used
