Title: Windows 2000 Server unexpected restarts 'n' hangs
Post by: Antonio Kleptka on November 17, 2003, 08:32:20 AM
Hello!
I am experiencing some rather frustrating random restarts and hangs on a windows 2000 server pc. The pc is on UPS so the restarts could not be due to sudden voltage peaks or falls.
I 've checked for error logs, but all I  get is an error :"the previous system shutdown was unexpected"
I suspect the hdd or the power supply unit, though I can't be sure...Could it be anything else ? What do you think?

Thank you

Hi,

In my case, it comes up with a black screen and only a hard reboot works.
I have Windows 2000 server on my laptop.
This is driving me crazy since last 6 months.
It happens either when i am using :-
1) outlook
2) IE
3) Windows Media player

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
